The delegation visited and presented gifts to veteran Nguyen Huu Chap, born in 1931, residing in Him Lam ward and veteran Nguyen Viet Diem, born in 1930, residing in Thanh Binh ward (Dien Bien Phu city). At the families, Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan kindly asked about the health and life of the Dien Bien soldiers; expressed her respect and gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of the Dien Bien soldiers in the resistance war against French colonialism, contributing with our army and people to the historic victory "famous in five continents, shaking the earth".
On behalf of the delegation, comrade Vo Thi Anh Xuan wished the Dien Bien soldiers good health, to be a spiritual support for their children and grandchildren to follow and continue the tradition of their ancestors; at the same time, promote the fine tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", keep the spirit of the Dien Bien soldiers of the past, continue to contribute intelligence and effort to build the homeland to be more and more prosperous and civilized.
After the program to pay tribute to the Dien Bien soldiers, Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and her delegation visited the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum and admired the Panorama painting recreating the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
