Presenting a report at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Hong Lai - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications said: In 2024, press agencies have done a good job of propaganda, promptly and objectively reflecting important economic, political, cultural and social events and activities of the province, honestly and deeply reflecting issues of public concern.
As the province's main press agency, in 2024, Quang Nam Newspaper will publish 175 printed issues (124 regular issues, 40 weekend issues, 9 Quang Nam Culture issues, 2 special issues), ensuring compliance with the publishing plan. Many electronic newspaper products will exceed the annual plan and increase sharply compared to 2023, especially multimedia press products.
The number of visits to Quang Nam Electronic Newspaper in 2024 will reach more than 14 million (an increase of 3 million compared to 2023); Quang Nam Newspaper Fanpage has more than 18,000 followers, more than 1,800 subscribers to the Youtube channel. Quang Nam Electronic Newspaper is in the top 10 domestic Party newspapers with the highest number of visits.
Social media channels of the Provincial Radio and Television Station such as Fanpage, Youtube, Zalo are increasingly reaching and attracting a large audience.
Specifically, the total number of views on the website reached more than 1 million (an increase of 66% compared to 2023); 18,000 YouTube channel subscriptions (an increase of 100%), 40,000 on Facebook (an increase of 300%) and 5,000 followers on TikTok.
Representative offices of central press agencies located in the province, resident reporters, and reporters registered to operate in the province have carried out quite comprehensive propaganda about Quang Nam province in 2024 with 329 thousand news and articles about Quang Nam province in various fields. Central press agencies have made many contributions to social security work in the province.
Towards 100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism
At the conference, representatives of press agencies spoke and gave many enthusiastic opinions to improve the effectiveness of Quang Nam press work, especially in 2025 when many major events of the country and the province will take place.
After listening to the reports and discussions at the conference, giving a speech directing the conference, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, acknowledged and commended the important contributions of press agencies, journalists and reporters.

At the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and 19 individuals with outstanding achievements in journalism work in 2024. Quang Nam Newspaper had 1 collective and 2 individuals awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Quang Nam province currently has 4 press agencies, including: Provincial Radio and Television Station, Quang Nam Newspaper, Dat Quang Magazine, and Science Magazine. By December 2024, the whole province had 98 people granted press cards for the period 2021 - 2025 (an increase of 2 people compared to 2023). Along with that, in Quang Nam, there are 88 reporters and journalists from 59 press agencies outside the province operating in the province.
