Speaking at the opening of the festival, Minister Nguyen Van Hung sent his best wishes to the President and delegates, people and visitors attending the "Spring Colors Across the Country" Festival in 2024. The Minister affirmed that during his lifetime, beloved Uncle Ho once said: "A nation can be oppressed and exploited, and materially exhausted, but the vitality of that nation still exists, and only waits for the opportunity for that nation to rise up. That vitality lies in cultural values, in fine cultural traditions". Looking back at the thousands of years of history of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people, let us deeply engrave the affirmation of the great Uncle Ho. Culture and history are not to be memorized but to be engraved in the subconscious. Culture has the sacred mission of connecting and uniting nations.
According to the Minister, the system of values on Vietnamese culture as defined in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress is aiming to build a comprehensive and harmonious Vietnamese person in which: the greatest love is patriotism, the most beautiful ideal is the revolutionary ideal, the strongest urge is the urge to admire the heroic history of the nation. With the role of the people as the subject of cultural creation, the team of artists plays an important role, the simple, hard-working, creative Vietnamese people with a strong and indomitable will are contributing every day to create a new position and new stature of Vietnam today.

2024 is the 14th year that the "Spring Colors in All Regions of the Country" festival is held, with the participation of more than 200 people from 28 ethnic communities from 16 provinces/cities representing ethnic groups and regions across the country. Coming to the festival, people and tourists will be immersed in a cultural space representing ethnic groups and regions across the country to better understand the values, cultural beauty and traditions of Vietnamese ethnic groups in the traditional New Year celebration that has existed for thousands of years with the Nang Hai Festival - a typical festival of the Tay ethnic group, Cao Bang province; the Rice Sowing Ceremony of the B'ru Van Kieu ethnic group, who mainly live in villages on the Truong Son mountain range in Western Quang Binh... the intangible cultural heritage space "Xoe Thai Art" recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity; the gongs echoing in the great forests of the ethnic groups in the Central Highlands; listen to Then singing, Tinh lute of Tay, Nung people... and enjoy cuisine, participate in folk games in the space of Thai, Muong, Mong, Dao ethnic groups... in the white color of plum blossoms, pink color of peach blossoms of the Northwest. This is also an opportunity to honor and promote unique cultural values, traditional characteristics associated with tourism development, Spring Festival programs, reenactment of unique traditional rituals and festivals of ethnic groups held here.

On behalf of the people attending the Festival, Meritorious Artisan Lam Thi Huong (Khmer ethnic group) expressed gratitude for the attention of the Party and State to the people of all ethnic groups and shared the honor and pride of attending the Festival at the common home of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups.

Speaking at the festival, President Vo Van Thuong affirmed that our country Vietnam is a beautiful country with a long-standing civilization, a heroic history and a culture rich in identity, unified in diversity. Through thousands of years of building and defending the country, 54 ethnic groups have created a unique and rich cultural treasure with good values that vividly demonstrate the process of living, working, building and protecting the country, depicting the character and beauty of the Vietnamese people. This is truly a source of pride, a valuable asset of the nation, a source of endogenous strength, fostering the great national unity bloc, and an attractive force for international friends, a soft power that contributes to raising the country's position and prestige in the international arena.
According to the President, over the past years, all levels, sectors, localities and ethnic people have made efforts to preserve, restore, spread and honor cultural values; build new cultural spaces, create an environment for ethnic groups to create, interact, learn and work together, and encourage understanding and respect for each other's cultures.

The President expressed his delight that in recent years, the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism has had many effective and unique activities with hundreds of festivals and events held, highlighting the beauty of Vietnamese culture, attracting domestic and foreign tourists to visit, experience culture, and community tourism, affirming the everlasting vitality of traditional cultural values of the nation in development, exchange, integration and international cooperation.
President Vo Van Thuong highly appreciated and commended the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, localities, and ethnic people for their many initiatives and efforts to maintain and develop the activities of the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, joining hands to build the "Common Home of 54 Ethnic Groups" - a place to gather and unite ethnic groups, a place to preserve, spread, and promote the traditional cultural values of our beloved Vietnam.
The President affirmed Our Party and State always pay attention to building the great national unity bloc - an important factor, a strong driving force, of key significance to the country's development - on the basis of implementing well the ethnic policy, consistently following the principle of equality, solidarity, respect, and mutual assistance among ethnic groups for comprehensive development in all aspects of politics, economy, culture, society, national defense and security; in which, attention is paid to preserving and promoting the values and cultural identities of each ethnic group, each member of the great family of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
At the same time, the President affirmed that culture is the spiritual foundation of society, a pillar in sustainable development, increasingly affirming its great role and achieving many important results. The material and spiritual cultural life of the people is constantly improving and enhancing. The role of the people in creating, practicing, transmitting and enjoying culture is increasingly valued, and the participation of the community in the cultural field is increasingly widespread.
