The sweet fruits of groundbreaking achievements.

The Hai Duong City Land Clearance Board is actively implementing land clearance work for the Vu Cong Dan Road Renovation and Expansion Project.

Positive results

2023 marked the second consecutive year that Hai Duong City identified timely land clearance as a breakthrough task. During the year, the city selected 12 projects to implement this breakthrough task. To create clean land for these projects, from the beginning of the year, the Hai Duong City People's Committee developed implementation plans for each project, assigning responsibilities to relevant units and individuals; simultaneously, it required agencies, units, and localities to strictly adhere to coordination regulations to accelerate the progress of land clearance for construction projects.

With strong determination and comprehensive solutions, in 2023, Hai Duong City completed the approval of compensation and support plans for land clearance with a total amount of over 500 billion VND, exceeding the annual plan by nearly 70%. “Key projects with large workloads and tight deadlines, involving land acquisition from nearly 1,000 households, including hundreds of households whose residential land was acquired, have also been completed on schedule, such as the Vo Van Kiet Boulevard Construction Project and the Vu Cong Dan Road Renovation and Expansion Project,” added Mr. Le Thanh Binh, Director of the City's Land Clearance Board.

2023 was also a bumper year for OCOP products in Tu Ky district. Recently, the district organized the evaluation and classification of products, with 23 products achieving OCOP 3-star or higher (exceeding the target of 18 products), including 3 products recommended to the province for OCOP 4-star recognition. To achieve these results, Tu Ky district chose to develop OCOP products as one of its breakthrough initiatives. Along with financial support, the local government has accompanied, guided, and supported businesses in all stages from surveying, issuing certificates, brand identification to linking and selling products.

As a business with three agarwood products nominated for OCOP 4-star recognition, Mr. Bui Duc Binh, Director of Bao Loc Production, Trade and Service Co., Ltd. in Quang Nghiep commune, said: “The company received very dedicated and responsible guidance from the district's agricultural officials in implementing all stages and processes, from hiring consultants and preparing documents to developing products that meet OCOP standards. Currently, we are planning to change the packaging and organize promotional activities to expand the market once the products are officially recognized by the province as achieving OCOP 4-star status.”

Along with breakthrough projects aimed at promoting socio-economic development, many localities in the province have also selected and set forth tasks to improve the efficiency and quality of Party building and the political system. In 2023, Thanh Mien district identified improving the quality and efficiency of inspection, supervision, and disciplinary enforcement within the Party as one of the four breakthrough tasks to focus on leading and organizing implementation. The Party Committee and the two-level Inspection Committee in Thanh Mien have supplemented inspections and supervisions according to the requirements of political tasks; strengthened inspections of signs of violations to detect and prevent wrongdoings early. Disciplinary work within the Party, and disciplinary actions against violating organizations and individuals, have been carried out synchronously, promptly, and strictly. The Party Committee and the two-level Inspection Committee have completed all inspections and supervisions according to the program. The District Party Committee's Inspection Commission investigated suspected violations by 8 Party members and 3 Party organizations, an increase of 6 Party members and 2 Party organizations investigated compared to 2022. Party committees and grassroots inspection commissions investigated suspected violations by 10 Party organizations and 32 Party members. All cases of violations were handled strictly, publicly, and transparently.

The outstanding and comprehensive results achieved by Hai Duong in 2023 were also significantly contributed by the selection and implementation of breakthrough projects. The Provincial Party Standing Committee continued to direct the registration of exemplary actions by leading and managerial cadres and Party members at all levels, including the registration of innovative breakthrough projects, and the approval of these registrations for monitoring and evaluation of implementation results. In 2023, the Provincial Party Standing Committee approved 170 innovative breakthrough projects by members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and leading and managerial cadres under the Provincial Party Standing Committee's management. The results from these breakthrough projects significantly contributed to the province's economic growth reaching over 9%; the completion of the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; the effective implementation of social welfare work; and Party development…

The above results show that after two years of implementation, the registration and execution of breakthrough projects by Party committees, government agencies, and individual cadres and Party members are truly becoming systematic, creating positive changes and serving as a foundation for agencies, units, and localities in Hai Duong to effectively carry out their tasks.
