The University of Information Technology, Ho Chi Minh City National University, plans to enroll 2,000 full-time students, an increase of 200 compared to last year.
On the afternoon of December 28, the University of Information Technology announced its enrollment orientation for 2024. The school will maintain three stable admission methods, including: direct admission and priority admission (25% of the target); admission based on exam scores (68% of the target); admission based on international certificates (7%).
In particular, the admission method based on exam scores includes considering the results of the competency assessment test of two national universities and the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam.
Candidates with international JLPT Japanese language certificates from N3 level or higher will be converted to 10 points for admission consideration. Candidates with IELTS and TOEFL English certificates will have their scores converted according to the following table:

With the direct admission and priority admission methods, the school follows the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the project of Ho Chi Minh City National University and the school's own regulations. In addition, the school gives priority to direct admission to candidates who have won special prizes, first, second and third prizes in the Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad, Open Source Software Olympiad (Procon), "Asian Programming - ICPC Asia" and "Road to Olympia" (from monthly competitions and above).
Candidates who win medals in sports competitions are also given priority for direct admission, including: world championships, world cups, Olympic Games, Asian Games (ASIAD), Asian championships, Asian cups, Southeast Asian championships, Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), Southeast Asian cups and candidates who win national youth chess/chess championships. These candidates must have an average score of 7 or higher in the subjects in the admission group.
In the international certificate admission method, candidates need to graduate from high school in Vietnam or abroad, have one of the following certificates: SAT (from 510 points or more for each test), ACT from 21/36 points or more, AS/A level (high school certificate) with a score from CA for each test subject, International Baccalaureate (IB) with a total score of 21 or more.

The 2023 admission score of the University of Information Technology, Ho Chi Minh City National University, ranges from 25.4 to 27.8. Of which, the Artificial Intelligence major has the highest admission standard.
