Despite recovering for the third consecutive session after a sharp decline earlier, the stock market has yet to have a breakout session to escape the short-term downtrend.

The Vietnamese stock market opened the trading session on October 10 with a strong increase due to investor excitement. The VN-Index increased by more than 10 points at one point but then decreased slightly due to increased supply. In particular, the group of Blue-chip stocks recovered better with 21/30 codes in the VN30-Index basket increasing points. In particular, most of the large banking stocks were in the green with VCB increasing by 1.77%, ACB increasing by 1.33%, TCB increasing by 1.25%, HDB increasing by 2.05%, VIB increasing by 2.37%; CTG, BID, VPB, SSB, MBB, STB increasing by nearly 1%... In addition, some individual stocks in this group also increased well, such as MWG increasing by 1.88%, HPG increasing by 1.96%, POW increasing by 2.23%, MWG increasing by 1.88%...
The group of securities stocks recovered positively in the session with many stocks returning to the peak but cooled down at the end of the session due to profit-taking pressure from investors. Many stocks turned down such as: FTS down 2.7%, SHS down 1.7%, SSI down 1.51%, VCI down 1.23%. Some stocks kept the green color such as SBS up 2.56%, AGR up 1.53%; VIX, ORS up nearly 1%...
Real estate stocks were differentiated with VHM increasing by 2.13%, IDC increasing by 1.26%, SCR increasing by 1.86%, HDG increasing by 1.07%... meanwhile HDC decreased by 2.72% PDR decreased by 1.69%, DXG decreased by 1.73%, NVL decreased by 1.05%...
At the end of the trading session, VN-Index increased by 6.33 points (0.56%) to 1,143.69 points with 354 stocks increasing, 140 stocks decreasing and 68 stocks remaining unchanged. At the end of the session on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, HNX-Index also increased slightly by 0.62 points (0.27%) to 234.17 points with 115 stocks increasing, 65 stocks decreasing and 47 stocks remaining unchanged.
Because the market is increasing in doubt, liquidity remains low despite an increase of nearly VND2,000 billion compared to the previous session. The total transaction value in the whole market is about VND17,900 billion, of which liquidity on the HOSE floor has also improved with nearly VND15,400 billion.
Foreign investors recorded the third consecutive net selling session with a total net selling value of nearly 256 billion VND on the HOSE floor.
