The Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police said that in the early morning of August 14, on National Highway 1, through Quarter 2, Hoa Vinh Ward, Dong Hoa Town, a series of accidents occurred between 3 passenger cars.
The incident occurred at 2:00 a.m. when passenger car 77F-000.31 driven by Mr. Tu Trung Nghia (born in 1980, residing in Binh Dinh province) was traveling from the South to the North. When arriving at the above location, it collided with passenger car 51B-254.00 driven by Mr. Vo Van Quoc (born in 1987, residing in Binh Dinh province), traveling in the opposite direction. Due to the collision, car 51B-254.00 continued to collide with passenger car 77B-022.20 driven by Tran Dinh Hai (born in 1981, residing in Binh Dinh province), traveling in the same direction in front. After the collision, passenger car 77F-000.31 continued to hit the median strip of the national highway, causing the front of the car to be dented and deformed; the other two passenger cars were also severely damaged.
Fortunately, the accident did not cause any casualties, but it caused many passengers on the three buses to panic and break the windows to escape. The Traffic Police Department had to mobilize forces to the scene to direct traffic and remove the damaged vehicles from the scene. Traffic at the accident site returned to normal at 9:00 a.m. the same day.
On the same day, the provincial traffic police force organized a patrol, discovered 92 cases of traffic safety violations, fined more than 12 million VND, and temporarily detained 16 motorbikes. Analysis of the violations: 8 cases of not wearing helmets, 4 cases of not having a driver's license, 14 cases of speeding, 5 cases of carrying more people than the prescribed number, 10 cases of alcohol concentration violations, and 72 other violations.
