Many parents of Tran Hung Dao Primary School, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City shared their happiness when the school invited them to receive awards with their children at the closing ceremony of the 2023-2024 school year on May 27.

81 outstanding students of Tran Hung Dao Primary School, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, were recognized and rewarded at the closing ceremony of the 2023-2024 school year.

These are students with excellent achievements in studying, training, sports, participating in school, district, city movements and also awards from departments and national awards that they received in the past school year.

It is worth mentioning that, in addition to inviting 81 students to the stage to commend and reward them, the school also invited 81 parents to come up with them and gave each parent a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

"The feeling of holding my child's hand and receiving an award on stage at his school is a very warm, elated feeling that is hard to describe.

This is the first time in my life I have felt this way when receiving a bouquet of fresh flowers from the teachers who have taught my child. How happy I am! Through that, I also feel the closeness, attachment, and responsibility of the family in working with the school to educate their child," said the mother of Nguyen Phuc Thien, class 1T2.

"Thank you to the school for organizing such a warm and meaningful closing ceremony. I feel like I am being encouraged, motivated, and supported by the school in educating my child when I was able to go up with my child to receive the certificate of merit and reward...", a parent named Thuy Trang happily said.

Not only that, after receiving their awards on stage with their children, 81 parents and students with outstanding achievements who were awarded will walk the "red carpet" with giant, colorful roses on both sides made by the school's nannies.

The closing ceremony also impressed parents with 81 letters of commendation from the school principal. The 81 letters of commendation were individual letters, encouraging students according to their character and achievements.

"I am very happy to receive a letter of commendation from the principal. She praised me for being a good student and for telling many good stories about Uncle Ho," Yen Kim, a first grader, boasted.

This is the second year Tran Hung Dao Primary School has performed an on-stage gratitude ceremony for parents whose children have outstanding achievements.

By inviting parents to the stage to receive awards with their children, the school hopes to honor and encourage the spirit of dedication and companionship of parents in coordinating with the school in educational activities.
