"The results may not satisfy all of us. The organizing agencies, organizations and individuals participating in the tournament still need to continue to make more efforts and try harder. However, what the entire industry has strived to overcome difficulties with the responsible support of press agencies and journalists has once again affirmed that the fields of culture, sports and tourism have received great attention from the leaders of the Party, State, all levels and sectors and have achieved many achievements and positive changes," the Deputy Minister stated.

The first National Press Award for the Development of Culture, Sports and Tourism was launched on December 26, 2022. The Organizing Committee received 1,084 entries. This is the largest number of entries for an industry press award held in its first year.

Based on the research of the profiles of 131 works proposed by the Preliminary Council for the final round, the Final Council judged and selected 94 best works to award 4 First prizes, 15 Second prizes, 25 Third prizes and 50 Encouragement prizes to individuals and groups submitting entries.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests news agencies, newspapers, reporters and editors to pay attention to, organize the production and publication of press works focusing on a number of key contents such as: The implementation of the Party's Resolution and the Conclusion of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong into life; the movement of the Cultural Sector following the direction of the General Secretary in the congratulatory letter on the occasion of the Conference to commend typical advanced models in the cultural field nationwide in 2023; the work of building and perfecting institutions, policies and resources for cultural development; gradually concretizing the role of culture - the "regulatory system" in the movement of all aspects of life.

In addition, journalists need to approach and exploit cultural values ​​in the spirit of "Culture is the result of economy and at the same time the driving force of economic development"; build a grassroots cultural environment; position and strength of Vietnam tourism in the new period on the basis of preserving and promoting the value of natural resources, historical and cultural resources; develop cultural industry, resource policies and solutions for physical education and sports development.
