42 works honored with the Golden Hammer and Sickle Journalism Award

Responding to the 2024 Journalism Contest on Party building called "Golden Hammer and Sickle" launched by the Central Committee, the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Department of Information and Communications to deploy a plan to organize locally.

Under the direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Head of the Steering Committee of the “Golden Hammer and Sickle – Nghe An” Press Award, the units issued a dispatch to launch the contest and develop the award rules, creating opportunities for reporters, members, and press agencies in the area to actively participate. This activity received an enthusiastic response, contributing to affirming the position and role of the press in propaganda work on Party building in the locality.

At the same time, the Organizing Committee organized two delegations of journalists to visit localities and units in the province. The trip aimed to learn more about advanced models and examples, as well as good practices in Party building work. Thereby, journalists had the opportunity to meet and exchange directly with cadres, party members and people to collect real materials, contributing to the construction of quality press works, meeting the requirements for participating in the award.

These field trips not only create conditions for journalists to develop creative and authentic works but also help raise awareness and spread positive values ​​in Party building work.

According to the Organizing Committee, the “Golden Hammer and Sickle – Nghe An 2024” Press Award has received strong response and active participation from the entire political system in the province. The organization of the award was carried out in a strict and methodical manner, ensuring compliance with the set procedures and objectives.

The promotion of the award was promoted, attracting the participation of a large number of reporters, members and press agencies, contributing to mobilizing many forces to participate. In particular, the award judging process was carried out seriously, independently, objectively, impartially and transparently, creating trust and consensus from participating authors.

The quality of the journalistic works submitted for the contest was assessed as quite even, showing harmony and diversity in genres. These works contributed to effectively conveying the message of Party building, while demonstrating the creativity and efforts of journalists in the province.

This year's Nghe An Province Golden Hammer and Sickle Press Award has 122 entries in 5 categories: television, radio, print, electronic, and photojournalism.

The Organizing Committee selected 42 best works to honor and award prizes, including 4 First prizes, 8 Second prizes, 13 Third prizes, 17 Encouragement prizes and 4 Outstanding Thematic works on the topic of Party building.

He also acknowledged and appreciated the important contributions of reporters, editors and leaders of press agencies - those who directly and indirectly contributed to spreading information on the propaganda "front". At the same time, he emphasized the creative working spirit, dedication and tireless efforts of journalists, who have immersed themselves in real life to create excellent journalistic works. These works not only truthfully reflect social life but also arouse love for the Party, the nation, and great responsibility for the homeland and country, thereby creating strong impacts and positive social effects.

In the coming time, in order for the “Golden Hammer and Sickle – Nghe An” Press Award to promote greater influence and value, the Steering Committee and the Organizing Committee need to continue to promote propaganda work, constantly explore, innovate, and create. The organization of the award needs to be carried out in a methodical and professional manner, in order to increase the attraction for journalists and press agencies, while spreading strong vitality, positive influence, affirming the prestige and stature of the award.

He hoped that in 2025, journalists and reporters would continue to actively seek, discover, and create meaningful topics that are suitable for reality, expressing deep affection for the Party, the People, and the homeland of Nghe An.
