At the meeting with Mr. Pascal Soriot, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha highly appreciated the Astra Zeneca Group for actively supporting the provision of COVID-19 vaccines to Vietnam; as well as contributing to the implementation of vaccine equity globally.

"The Vietnamese Government is always ready to create conditions for AstraZeneca to successfully implement projects in Vietnam in the fields of healthcare, pharmaceuticals, healthcare ecosystem and sustainable development," the Deputy Prime Minister affirmed.

Thanking the Deputy Prime Minister for taking the time to meet him, Mr. Pascal Soriot expressed his impression of Vietnam's socio-economic recovery and development after the pandemic. Along with investment, research and technology transfer projects in the fields of vaccines and pharmaceuticals, AstraZeneca Group has participated in many cooperation programs for sustainable development and increased access to health care such as: AZ Forest afforestation program; "Youth Health" program, "For healthy lungs"... AstraZeneca leaders also wish to consult and support Vietnam in building a carbon credit market.

At the meeting with Mr. Dao Long Trung, the Deputy Prime Minister said that Vietnam aims to strongly develop renewable energy types to develop and produce new fuels such as green hydrogen, green ammonia, etc.

This is an opportunity for foreign investors in Vietnam to participate more deeply in the stages of the renewable energy and new energy industries, as well as serve the export of energy, equipment and components to the global market.

However, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the problem for businesses operating in the renewable energy sector is to ensure the highest quality standards, safety, environmental friendliness, and maximum recycling...

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that Jiangsu Runergy New Energy Group jointly research and develop feasible technological solutions for solar panels, smart power grids, green hydrogen production, green ammonia, and rechargeable batteries.

Mr. Dao Long Trung reported to the Deputy Prime Minister on the progress of the first phase of the silicon ingot and semiconductor wafer production project with a total investment of 440 million USD in Hoang Mai I Industrial Park, Nghe An; affirmed that the leaders of Runergy New Energy wish to be facilitated to ensure sufficient electricity and promote the expansion of the project in the next phases.
