Going to Lang Chanh mountainous district to inspect landslides in the area of Lam Phu Secondary School, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested the Party Committees and authorities of Thanh Hoa province to continue to closely monitor the development of landslides in the school area, implement barriers, set up markers, monitor, and warn of danger signs within the landslide area; widely announce on mass media, not allowing people and vehicles to enter landslide areas and areas at risk of being affected by landslides. Urgently develop, approve, and implement in practice key plans to prevent and combat natural disasters and landslides in the area of Lam Phu Secondary School, Lang Chanh district, ensuring the safety of people and property according to the "4 on-site" motto, especially proactively evacuating/relocating people and property at risk of being affected when heavy rains and dangerous situations occur.

The Deputy Prime Minister encouraged and presented gifts to the Lam Phu Secondary School and informed that the Government will prioritize the allocation of capital and Thanh Hoa province's counterpart funds to soon invest in building schools so that teachers and students of the school have a solid place to teach and study. Inspecting the results of handling the incident at No Thon culvert under the left dike of Ma River, in Vinh An commune, Vinh Loc district, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha noted that although the dike is still safe, Thanh Hoa province needs to draw lessons and be more proactive in preventing natural disasters in the coming time. Issues related to dike protection beyond the province's capacity should be reported to the Central Government for handling and remedial measures.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and members of the working delegation visited and presented gifts to households in Ngoc Bo village, Kim Tan town, Thach Thanh district that are often flooded; hoping that people will quickly overcome difficulties, strictly follow the direction and guidance of local Party committees and authorities, and soon stabilize their lives and production, and at the same time request relevant ministries and branches and Thanh Hoa province to study the model of flood-proof housing to help people effectively respond to floods.
