Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Thi Thuy, on behalf of the provincial leaders, quickly reported to the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister on flood and storm prevention work in Ha Nam.
By 7:00 a.m. on September 12, the entire province had evacuated 1,344 out of 6,587 households that needed to be evacuated. At the evacuation sites, all necessary living conditions for food, medicine, and necessities were fully prepared for the households; at the same time, nearly 97,000 livestock and poultry were evacuated; 583.68 hectares of aquaculture were overflowed.
Localities have mobilized sufficient human and material resources to be ready to handle situations according to the plan to protect key projects and the plan to protect the entire dike system according to the "4 on-site" motto.
Up to now, the province's flood and storm prevention measures have been effectively and drastically implemented, minimizing damage caused by storms and floods; ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.
Through the inspection, flood and storm prevention work at the Tac Giang sluice and boat lock cluster and listening to the quick report of the leaders of Ha Nam province, the Deputy Prime Minister commended the determination of the Party committees and authorities at all levels in the province; especially the Public Security - Military forces; acknowledged the results of flood and storm prevention in Ha Nam province. He requested Ha Nam province to continue reinforcing key points; prepare sufficient forces and materials, and do a good job of preventing serious incidents from causing damage to people's lives and property.
Regularly monitor the flood situation, effectively implement solutions to evacuate people to safe areas; have measures to support people to overcome the consequences of floods; based on the situation, direct schools to let students in deeply flooded areas stay home until the water recedes; ensure absolute safety for students and the elderly.
The Police and Military forces need to overcome difficulties, maintain full military presence, and ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
