(Chinhphu.vn) - On May 22, within the framework of a working visit to Japan to attend the 29th Future of Asia Conference, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai met with Speaker of the House of Representatives Nukaga Fukushiro.

At the meeting, the two sides expressed their delight at the qualitative developments in the Vietnam-Japan relationship, with the historic milestone of the two countries upgrading their relationship to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in November 2023 and organizing more than 500 activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, in particular, exchanges and delegations at high and all levels taking place closely with nearly 200 delegations visiting each other every year; agreed to jointly promote the concretization of the newly established Comprehensive Strategic Partnership framework.
Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai invited the Speaker of the Japanese House of Representatives to visit Vietnam soon and hoped that the House of Representatives and Speaker Nukaga Fukushiro personally would continue to pay attention to and promote cooperation and exchanges between the two countries' parliaments, increase the exchange of high-level delegations, and exchanges between parliamentarians, young parliamentarians, and female parliamentarians.

Propose to support Vietnam in building an independent and self-reliant economy, effectively participating in global supply chains; promote and effectively implement new generation ODA with high incentives, simple and flexible procedures for large-scale strategic infrastructure development projects in Vietnam.
The Deputy Prime Minister proposed that the Japanese National Assembly support the two countries in strengthening human resource connectivity and labor cooperation, and have policies to support the Vietnamese community living, studying and working in Japan.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Nukaga Fukushiro respectfully conveyed his congratulations to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, who was recently elected by the Vietnamese National Assembly; affirming that the Japanese House of Representatives supports and will continue to urge the Japanese Government to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in all fields.
Emphasizing the importance and necessity of promoting Vietnam-Japan friendly cooperation and economic cooperation between the two countries in the new situation, Speaker of the House of Representatives Nukaga Fukushiro affirmed that Japan wishes to cooperate with Vietnam to build quality infrastructure.
Agreeing with the proposals of Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai, Mr. Nukaga Fukushiro affirmed that the Japanese House of Representatives supports promoting exchanges between the two countries through channels, especially the National Assembly, and promoting cooperation in human resource training on the basis of meeting the interests of both sides.
