During the working program in the western districts of Nghe An on March 1, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De reviewed the situation and results of the work of the forest protection force in the districts of Ky Son, Que Phong, Quy Chau and Quy Hop. The working delegation also visited and inspected economic models of growing medicinal herbs under the forest canopy in Na Ngoi commune (Ky Son).

In Na Ngoi commune, the delegation visited the Ngoc Linh ginseng growing model of Ngoc Linh Ginseng Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company; the medicinal herb growing model of TH Group in Na Ngoi commune.
At the medicinal herb production area, meeting with workers and laborers, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee grasped information about the characteristics and effects of medicinal herbs; natural conditions suitable for crops and forecasted economic efficiency from medicinal herb growing models under the forest canopy.

Comrade Nguyen Van De suggested that collectives and enterprises producing and growing crops to develop the economy under the forest canopy, in addition to taking care of crops, need to pay special attention to coordinating with local authorities and functional forces to protect the environment and protect forests to ensure compliance with regulations and effectiveness.

After visiting the medicinal plant growing model, comrade Nguyen Van De and the delegation visited, presented gifts and encouraged officers and employees of forest protection management stations in Na Ngoi and My Ly communes (under Ky Son Forest Management and Protection Board), Chau Thon commune (under Pu Hoat Nature Reserve), Cam Muon commune (under Pu Huong Nature Reserve) and Quy Hop Forest Management and Protection Board.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also visited and congratulated Na Ngoi Border Guard Station, Buoc Mu Border Control Station and Nhon Mai Border Guard Station on the occasion of Border Guard Traditional Day (March 3).

Also on March 1, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the scene of the deforestation incident in Huoi To village, Mai Son commune, Tuong Duong district.
