Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Mah Tiep attended the Great Solidarity Festival in Phu Thien district.

On the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024), on the morning of November 16, Mr. Duong Mah Tiep - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended and shared joy with the people of Residential Group 8, Phu Thien town, Phu Thien district in the National Great Unity Festival.

Comrade Duong Mah Tiep and leaders of several units participated in the Great Solidarity Day at Residential Group 8.

Also attending were comrade Dinh Ngoc Hai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches; leaders of the Phu Thien District Party Committee and People's Committee, along with a large number of cadres and people in Residential Group 8.

Residential Group 8 currently has 395 households, of which 45 are ethnic minority households, accounting for 11.3%. In the past time, the people in the Group have united together to overcome all difficulties to complete the local socio -economic development targets; the material and spiritual life of the people has been increasingly improved, the poverty rate has decreased every year. Up to now, the number of poor households in the Group is 13, accounting for 3.2%, near-poor households are 20, accounting for 5%. In addition, the people in the Residential Group have united to build a cultural life, care for education, develop human resources, take care of people's health; build cultural families; promote the tradition of gratitude, mutual love and affection. There are 371/395 cultural households, reaching 94%; there are 02 typical cultural households. The Residential Group has achieved the title of cultural residential area for 17 consecutive years; 100% of the people in the Group participated in buying health insurance; actively participated in activities to maintain hygiene and protect the environment; built models of house gates, gardens, village roads and alleys to be bright - green - clean - beautiful; participated in planting trees and shade; registered for garbage collection to reach 100%.

Speaking at the festival, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Mah Tiep praised the achievements of the people of Residential Group 8 in the past time, who united to overcome difficulties to complete the socio-economic development targets, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people in the Group. Besides the achievements, Residential Group 8 still has limitations such as: The advisory work of the branches and mass organizations for the Party Committee and Party Cell is sometimes not timely; the capacity of some cadres is still limited, people's awareness is not uniform... In the coming time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and mass organizations of Phu Thien district and the political system of Residential Group 8 to promote the good traditions and achievements, continue to promote the implementation of the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels, term 2020 - 2025; Continue to mobilize people to strengthen the strength of great solidarity, focus on completing local socio-economic tasks. At the same time, continue to effectively organize patriotic emulation movements and campaigns; promote the spirit of mutual love, sharing, helping, overcoming difficulties together, increasing income, striving to eliminate poor households, reducing the number of near-poor households in 2025. Maintain the achieved results, improve the quality of mobilizing people to participate in building new rural areas, building cultural families, striving for the rate of cultural families to reach 95% or more in 2025, firmly maintain the title of Cultural Residential Area in 2025 and the following years. Implement and promote grassroots democracy, mastery and self-management role of the people; promote the strength of great national solidarity; consolidate and enhance people's trust, strengthen social consensus. He also hopes that the people of Residential Group 8 will continue to promote the glorious tradition, promote the fine traditional cultural identity and the strength of great national unity, and strive to build our Residential Group 8 to become increasingly prosperous and beautiful.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Mah Tiep presented gifts from the province to people in Residential Group 8.
