(Fatherland) - The relic of Chau De Tu Temple - Cay Thi Temple (Ha Ngoc commune, Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa province) is a sacred place with converging air and beautiful mountains and rivers that nature has bestowed upon Ha Ngoc commune. Along with connecting with other relics in the area, Chau De Tu Temple will become a key spiritual tourist destination of Ha Trung district.

Mr. Tran Van Toan, Vice Chairman of Ha Ngoc Commune People's Committee shared that Chau De Tu Temple (also known as Cay Thi Temple) is located in the scenic area of Chung Chinh mountain range in Kim De village, Ha Ngoc commune, Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa province. This is a sacred place with beautiful mountains and rivers that nature has bestowed upon Ha Ngoc commune, and this is also the place where Chau Ba De Tu was born.

The guardian saint of the temple is Chau Ba De Tu, also known as Princess Chieu Dung, a member of the Chau Saints in the Vietnamese Mother Goddess worship system. She is a Saint who has contributed to protecting the country and the people and has been awarded many titles by many dynasties. For a medium, Chau De Tu is a Saint who is given the authority to command the medium by the Mother Goddess.

Mr. Tran Van Toan said, according to oral tradition, Chau Ba Temple was built more than 600 years ago during the Later Le Dynasty. After years of war, there was a time when the temple was completely destroyed, leaving only the ground and the stone cave.

"To commemorate her merits, in the 90s of the last century, the government, the people of Ha Ngoc commune and visitors from all over gradually built and renovated the temple. Up to now, despite many difficulties, the temple has been renovated relatively spaciously, meeting the religious and spiritual needs of the people in the area as well as visitors from all over the world" - Mr. Tran Van Toan said.

The temple is located in a prime location, with its back against the mountain and the Len River winding through in front. The temple consists of the first palace worshipping the Three Holy Mothers, the second palace worshipping the Fourth Chau and the Council of Holy Chau, the third palace worshipping the Jade Emperor and the Council of Great Officials. In addition, the two floors of the temple worship the Council of Holy Ladies and Holy Boys, next to which is the majestic Pen Tower. In 1996, the Fourth Chau Temple was recognized as a provincial historical, cultural and scenic relic.

In recent years, thanks to good propaganda work, the majority of people as well as tourists when coming to the temple are aware of maintaining hygiene and environmental landscape. According to statistics from the Management Board of Monuments and Landscapes of Ha Ngoc commune, each year, Chau De Tu temple welcomes about 60-70 thousand visitors. To ensure the safety of tourists when coming to burn incense and visit the landscape, Ha Ngoc commune has proactively developed plans to ensure security and order, traffic safety, environmental sanitation, and fire prevention. In particular, propaganda work is always taken seriously. On the loudspeaker system, visitors are regularly reminded to be aware of maintaining general hygiene, protecting the environmental landscape, classifying waste and putting it in the bin. At the same time, superstitious activities and other evils are strictly prohibited...

Also according to Vice Chairman of Ha Ngoc Commune People's Committee Tran Van Toan, according to the province's cultural tourism project and the resolution of the commune Party Committee, the commune's plan is to focus on developing tourism, especially developing spiritual tourism spots in the commune to connect spiritual tourism with each other. Accordingly, Ha Ngoc will form a spiritual tourism tour, connecting Chau De Tu Temple with relics and scenic spots such as Chung Chinh Mountain, Bat Cave, Cong Ninh Cave, Chum Vang Mountain.... Besides, there are festival activities at Chau De Tu Temple along with the Han Son festival tour, held in the 6th lunar month every year.

Mr. Nguyen Van Bay, Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Ngoc commune, emphasized that previously, the temple did not have a keeper, so the implementation of spiritual rituals during the holidays and festivals was still limited. In order to fully promote spiritual values, promote spiritual tourism, and develop the local economy, the local government and the people of Ha Ngoc commune wanted to find a person with enough heart, ability, and deep understanding of the spiritual field to be the keeper. First to serve the Saints, then to help the government and the management board promote the cultural values of the Temple.

Mr. Nguyen Van Bay said that the Ha Trung District Culture Department, the Ha Ngoc Commune People's Committee and the local people agreed to invite Tran Anh Tuan to be the Chief Incense Burner of the Chau Ba De Tu Temple. Thereby, promoting traditional culture so that more people at home and abroad know about the relic, promoting spiritual tourism as a premise for local economic development.

Master Tran Anh Tuan shared that with his concerns about serving his homeland, he himself had a great destiny and decided to make a meritorious decision to build the main shrine of Chau Ba De Tu. "In the coming time, together with the Management Board, the Master will try to promote and gain the attention of superiors and visitors from all over the world, thereby promoting the full cultural value of the locality and renovating the Temple to become more beautiful, spacious, worthy of the position of Chau De Tu, while meeting the needs of enjoying the beautiful scenery of this place and practicing the worship of the Mother Goddess of the Three Realms of the Vietnamese people" - Master Tran Anh Tuan shared.

"The Party Committee, the government, the Management Board and the Head of the Temple, Tran Anh Tuan, will try to preserve and promote the value of the Chau De Tu Temple relic. Hopefully, this will continue to be an indispensable spiritual destination in every tourist's journey when visiting Thanh Hoa" - Mr. Nguyen Van Bay hoped./.
