In the joyful atmosphere of the new spring, on the sacred land of Tay Yen Tu, where majestic mountains and rich cultural heritage converge, today, we solemnly open the Culture - Tourism Week of Bac Giang province in 2025. This is not only a cultural event but also a journey connecting history, spirituality and development.
On the occasion of the New Year, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Giang province, I warmly welcome and respectfully send to comrade Nguyen Van Hung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, leaders representing central ministries and branches; leaders and former leaders of the province; delegates, distinguished guests, and all the people my best wishes for health, happiness and success!

Bac Giang - a land of spiritual and talented people, carries within itself a unique blend of traditional Kinh Bac culture and the cultural identity of the Northern midlands and mountains. The rich historical and cultural heritages have become a great resource to promote tourism development and spiritual life.
The province has over 2,000 historical and cultural relics, including 06 special national relics. We are proud of the famous landmarks associated with the Xuong Giang Victory, Yen The Uprising, Bo Da Pagoda, and especially Vinh Nghiem Pagoda - the birthplace of Truc Lam Yen Tu Buddhism, where the spirit of Vietnamese Buddhism has converged for generations.
Intangible cultural heritages such as Quan Ho folk songs, Ca Tru, the practice of worshipping the Mother Goddesses of the Three Realms and Then practices have also been recognized by UNESCO, affirming the diverse cultural values of Bac Giang in the international arena. In addition, the province also owns valuable nature reserves such as Khe Ro and Tay Yen Tu primeval forests, where majestic beauty and unique biodiversity converge. Bac Giang province has also closely coordinated with Quang Ninh and Hai Duong provinces to complete the dossier submitted to UNESCO to propose the recognition of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son and Kiep Bac relic and landscape complex as a world heritage.

Implementing Resolution No. 112-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee on sustainable tourism development, associated with heritage conservation and improving people's lives, Bac Giang has achieved many impressive achievements. The number of tourists to the province in 2024 reached nearly 2.7 million, an increase of 32% compared to 2023. This figure shows that Bac Giang is constantly affirming its position on the Northern tourism map.
Projects to develop tourism infrastructure, upgrade historical sites, and expand connecting traffic routes have been gradually invested in synchronously, creating job opportunities for thousands of local workers. Bac Giang is increasingly becoming an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
In particular, the Tay Yen Tu Spring Festival - an annual event since 2019 - has become a bridge between Truc Lam Buddhist teachings and modern life, spreading the idea of "for the nation, for all living beings". This is not only a spiritual festival but also an opportunity for each person to contemplate a lifestyle in harmony with nature, as taught by Buddha King Tran Nhan Tong.
This year's Tay Yen Tu Spring Festival and Bac Giang Province Culture - Tourism Week are organized with 13 main activities. The highlights of the event are the procession of the Three Patriarchs of Truc Lam from Vinh Nghiem Pagoda to Ha Tay Yen Tu Pagoda; the open cycling race named "Journey in the footsteps of the Buddha King"; the Forest Opening Festival in Huong Son, Lang Giang District; the Sloong Hao singing festival in Tan Son, Luc Ngan District; and the festival of practicing the worship of the Mother Goddess of the Three Realms at Suoi Mo Temple, Luc Nam District.
Visitors will be immersed in a magical journey with solemn tablet processions, immersing themselves in sweet folk songs amidst majestic mountain scenery. Festivals, art exhibitions and diverse cultural activities not only bring unique experiences but also honor the unique cultural values of Bac Giang. The sound of festival drums, singing, and colorful traditional costumes will forever be preserved in the memories of every visitor.

Efforts to promote tourism have attracted attention from media agencies and investors. Inter-route experiential tourism products are increasingly being developed, helping Bac Giang expand its market and improve its competitiveness. This is a testament to the province’s commitment to preserving and promoting cultural values associated with sustainable development.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Giang province, I would like to sincerely thank the leaders of the Party, State, leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, departments, ministries, branches, unions, and central agencies for always paying attention to leading, directing, supporting, helping, and creating conditions for Bac Giang province in general and the culture, sports and tourism sector of the province in particular to develop more and more; I would like to sincerely thank the neighboring provinces and cities, the business community, news agencies, newspapers, and media for actively supporting the propaganda, promotion, and reporting of the activities of the Culture - Tourism Week and the Tay Yen Tu Spring Festival of Bac Giang province in 2025.
