The conference took place for 5 consecutive days (from August 25 to 29) in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, with the participation of two leading experts in infectious diseases - pediatrics in the world, Professor Ron Dagan of Israeli nationality and Dr. Mark Peter Gerard van der Linden of Dutch nationality, presenting the development trend of multivalent vaccines to prevent pneumococcal disease and highlighting the value of pneumococcal vaccines for patients and society in general. The conference series also had the participation of more than 1,800 doctors in the field of pediatrics and prevention, along with many leading experts in the field of infectious diseases in the country.
The global SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has raised concerns about the outbreak of dangerous diseases, which can be new, seasonal, or dangerous infectious diseases. Vaccines play an important role in limiting the spread, reducing morbidity and mortality.
