Mr. Vo Tan Duc was assigned as Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee.
Mr. Vo Tan Duc will hold the position of Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee until the position of Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term is completed.
* Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang also signed Decision 907/QD-TTg dated August 2, 2023 of the Prime Minister approving the dismissal of Mr. Cao Tien Dung from the position of Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
Previously, in March 2023, the Central Inspection Committee warned a number of former and current leaders of Dong Nai province, including Mr. Cao Tien Dung.
In June 2023, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed the Prime Minister's decisions on disciplining Mr. Cao Tien Dung and a number of leaders and former leaders of Dong Nai province. Accordingly, Mr. Cao Tien Dung was disciplined with a warning.
On the afternoon of July 14, 2023, in the 12th Session, the 10th People's Council of Dong Nai province considered and dismissed Mr. Cao Tien Dung from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province for the 2021-2026 term. The percentage of delegates of the Provincial People's Council agreeing with Mr. Dung's dismissal was 72%. The time Mr. Dung ceased to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee was from August 1, 2023.
