On November 28, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) held a ceremony to announce and award the decision to appoint Mr. Tran Hong Nam as a member of the Group's Board of Members.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises (CMC); representatives of the Central Inspection Committee, the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, ministries and branches.
On Petrovietnam's side, there were Mr. Le Manh Hung, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group; Mr. Le Ngoc Son, General Director of the Group; Mr. Tran Quang Dung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Group; members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, the Board of Directors, leaders of specialized departments/Group Office; leaders of member units, project management boards, and branches under the Group.
At the ceremony, the representative of the Department of Organization and Personnel of the State Management Committee announced the decision of the Chairman of the Committee on the temporary appointment of Mr. Tran Hong Nam, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of the Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP) to hold the position of Member of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam. The appointment term is 5 years, the decision takes effect from the date of signing.
On behalf of the leaders of the State Management Committee, Chairman Nguyen Hoang Anh congratulated the new member of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam, Tran Hong Nam, who has been trusted and assigned a new responsibility by the leaders of the Committee and Petrovietnam.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh also congratulated Petrovietnam for adding and perfecting key leadership personnel with capacity and experience to strengthen the management and operation of the Group's Board of Directors, in line with reality to effectively perform the tasks assigned by the Party, Government and Committee, especially in the context that the Politburo has issued Conclusion 76-KL/TW opening up a new direction, developing Petrovietnam into a National Industry - Energy Group in line with the energy transition trend.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh also congratulated the leadership, staff and employees of Petrovietnam on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Industry's Traditional Day (November 27, 1961 - November 27, 2024). Chairman of the State Management Committee Nguyen Hoang Anh hopes that in the coming time, Petrovietnam will continue to promote the tradition and bravery of the Oil and Gas people, continue to perform well and excellently complete all assigned tasks, continue to affirm the role of an important and key economic group in the national economy, a leading enterprise in the Committee, and make greater contributions to the socio-economic development of the country.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam Le Manh Hung thanked the State Management Committee, central ministries and branches for their attention, assistance, facilitation and support for Petrovietnam over the past time so that the Group could successfully complete all assigned tasks, making important contributions to the development of the country.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam shared that the new member of the Board of Directors, Tran Hong Nam, is a well-trained officer in the oil and gas industry at home and abroad, and has held many important positions in key units and enterprises of the Group in the field of oil and gas exploration and exploitation. Regardless of his position, Mr. Tran Hong Nam has always promoted his capacity and experience, and together with the staff and employees of the Oil and Gas units, united and made efforts to overcome difficulties, making an important contribution to helping the Group complete and reach the finish line early many important production targets. Therefore, the leaders, staff, employees and workers of Petrovietnam have trusted and recommended Mr. Tran Hong Nam for the Committee to decide on appointing him to the position of Member of the Board of Directors of the Group.
In the coming time, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam Le Manh Hung hopes that Board Member Tran Hong Nam will continue to promote his experience, capacity, solidarity, joint efforts, and unanimity with the Board of Directors, staff, employees, and workers of the Group to continue to help Petrovietnam overcome difficulties, develop sustainably, and be worthy of the trust, tradition, and expectations of generations of Oil and Gas workers.
Taking on the new responsibility on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Industry's Traditional Day, Petrovietnam Board of Directors member Tran Hong Nam emphasized that this is a source of pride but also a great responsibility for him personally. Mr. Tran Hong Nam expressed his gratitude for the attention, support and facilitation of the Committee, the trust of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, the Executive Board and the collective of Petrovietnam officers and employees who assigned him the task.
In his new position, Mr. Tran Hong Nam pledges to inherit the results and working experience of previous generations, always upholding the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, continuously cultivating and learning from experience, together with the Group's leadership, staff, party members and employees of Petrovietnam to effectively and successfully carry out assigned tasks, all for the sustainable and strong development of Petrovietnam.
