On the afternoon of October 26, in Hanoi, the Central Economic Committee held a conference to implement the Politburo's decision on personnel work.
Attending the conference were: Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; Head of the Central Economic Commission Tran Luu Quang; representatives of Central Party agencies; representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Nghe An province.
At the Conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Do Trong Hung announced Decision 1620-QDNS/TW dated October 25, 2024 of the Politburo on the transfer and appointment to the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee.
Accordingly, the Politburo decided that Mr. Thai Thanh Quy, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the 15th term of Nghe An province, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; transferred, assigned, and appointed to the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission.
Presenting the decision, presenting flowers and congratulating Mr. Thai Thanh Quy on being entrusted with the new responsibility by the Politburo, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung emphasized that Mr. Thai Thanh Quy is a cadre who has grown up from the grassroots level, having worked in many positions and units in Nghe An province. In his assigned position, Mr. Thai Thanh Quy has always completed his tasks well and excellently, making very important contributions to the overall achievements and results of Nghe An province.
Emphasizing that this is a new, very important but also very honorable task for Mr. Thai Thanh Quy personally, Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung suggested that the new Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee quickly approach the work, promote his capacity, strengths and experience, together with the collective leadership of the Central Economic Committee continue to perform well the advisory function, assisting the Central Executive Committee, directly and regularly the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Standing Secretariat in orienting the building and perfecting of economic institutions, planning major and important economic and social policies, guidelines and measures in the coming time.
“The collective leadership of the Central Economic Commission continues to thoroughly grasp the Party's viewpoints, policies and guidelines, especially the direction of the Politburo and especially the direction of General Secretary To Lam, to bring our country into a new era, an era of the Vietnamese people's rise,” emphasized Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung.
Head of the Central Economic Commission Tran Luu Quang stated: The completion of the Commission's leadership personnel demonstrates the Party's attention to strategic advisory work, policy planning, guidelines and policies on socio-economic development.
Assessing Mr. Thai Thanh Quy as a young, well-trained cadre, having worked in many positions and accumulated a lot of practical experience, Head of the Central Economic Commission Tran Luu Quang said that the presence of Mr. Thai Thanh Quy in the leadership team will increase the strength of the Central Economic Commission in performing assigned tasks; at the same time, he suggested that the new Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission quickly approach the work, coordinate well with the leaders of the Commission to complete the assigned tasks.
Mr. Thai Thanh Quy thanked the Politburo for entrusting him with this important position; affirming that this is an honor, a special milestone in his personal efforts and work, and at the same time a responsibility to the Party and the high requirements of the job.
In his new position, the new Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission affirmed that he will devote his mind and strength, uphold his spirit and responsibility, quickly approach the assigned work, continue to study, cultivate, practice, maintain moral qualities, lifestyle and improve his working capacity, strictly implement the leadership principles in the Party, be ready to share and learn, wholeheartedly join the collective leadership, cadres, civil servants and public employees of the Central Economic Commission to promote tradition, strive to fulfill the assigned tasks to the highest level.
Mr. Thai Thanh Quy was born in 1976, from Nghe An province; degree: PhD in Economics. He has held many positions in Nghe An province: Deputy Secretary, then Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Secretary of Nam Dan District Party Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province. He is an alternate member of the 12th Party Central Committee, member of the 13th Party Central Committee.
