The person who plays the role of head of the U23 Vietnam delegation at the U23 Asian finals is Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi - Standing Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). This is the first time Mr. Hoi has taken on the role of head of a national team after finishing his work at Hanoi FC.
In the most recent official tournament, SEA Games 32, the head of the U22 Vietnam delegation was Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Vice President in charge of VFF's professional affairs.

U23 Vietnam will play the opening match against Kuwait, followed by two matches against Malaysia and Uzbekistan. The goal of U23 Vietnam is to pass the group stage.
In addition to competing for rankings, this AFC U23 Championship is also a tournament to determine Asian representatives to attend the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Specifically, the top 3 U23 teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The fourth-placed team (losing in the third-place match) will participate in a play-off match with an African representative to compete for a spot in France for the Olympics.
