Binh Dinh Provincial Tax Department recently issued a notice to the Immigration Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) regarding the temporary suspension of exit for Mr. Luong Hoai Nam, General Director of Bamboo Airways.
The tax authority stated that Mr. Luong Hoai Nam is the legal representative of Bamboo Airways - a business that is being forced to execute an administrative decision on tax management because it has not fulfilled its tax payment obligations.
The temporary suspension of Mr. Nam's exit from the country begins from September 11 until the date Bamboo Airways completes its tax payment obligation to the budget.

Mr. Luong Hoai Nam has been the General Director of Bamboo Airways since the end of October last year. Mr. Nam is said to have more than 30 years of experience in the aviation and tourism sectors. He was the Head of Market Planning at Vietnam Airlines for 11 years. From July 2004 to the end of 2009, he held the position of General Director of Pacific Airlines, a member of Vietnam Airlines Group.
In mid-2012, Mr. Nam worked at Air Mekong as CEO for 4 months. After that, he was a leader at Nam Long, Hai Au Aviation Company, and Vietstar Airlines. Mr. Nam also often appeared as an aviation expert and a member of the Tourism Advisory Board.
Regarding the business situation, at the recent annual general meeting of shareholders, the company's leaders said that Bamboo Airways' profit after corporate income tax in 2023 was brought to a positive level of VND 236.8 billion, a significant improvement compared to the loss of nearly VND 19,800 billion in 2022.
The company's total liabilities also decreased by about VND2,000 billion. In 2024, the company aims to achieve total revenue of VND4,857 billion and reduce losses to VND1,387 billion.
