Mr. Le Van Dung runs Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee

The Politburo assigned Mr. Le Van Dung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to direct the activities of the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee.

According to the decision announced on the afternoon of December 29, Mr. Dung will assume this position until the Politburo decides on the personnel of the Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee to replace Mr. Phan Viet Cuong.

Mr. Le Van Dung, 57 years old, from Que Binh, Hiep Duc district, Quang Nam province, has a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics. He used to be Secretary of Hiep Duc District Party Committee, Chief of Office of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, Head of Provincial Party Committee Organization Board.

In April 2019, he was elected as the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee. In July 2021, he was elected as a delegate to the 15th National Assembly and was assigned as Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Nam Province.

Also this afternoon, the Politburo decided to grant Mr. Phan Viet Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Nam province, a leave of absence from office from January 1, 2024, with his official retirement date from July 1, 2024.
