The Ministry of Education and Training held a ceremony to announce and hand over the decision to appoint Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nghe An Provincial Agencies, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training.
Previously, on February 1, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 137/QD-TTG to transfer and appoint Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Agencies of Nghe An province, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training. The term of appointment is 5 years. The decision takes effect from the date of signing.

In his congratulatory speech to the new Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, Minister Nguyen Kim Son recalled the working process and growth of Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Chi in the education sector, from when she was a teacher to leadership positions, directly managing general education institutions, local education sectors...
Mr. Son believes that with proper training, practical experience from the grassroots, experience through working positions and with courage, the new Deputy Minister has the full capacity, qualities, experience and expertise to fulfill the assigned responsibilities and overcome the challenges that lie ahead.
It is expected that Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi will be in charge of the following areas: preschool education, political education and student affairs, physical education, emulation and rewards, ethnic education, children, etc.
Mr. Nguyen Kim Son entrusts the new Deputy Minister, when entering state management at the macro level, to quickly adapt in terms of vision and skills, and increase learning from domestic and international educational experiences, so that in a short time he can receive, adapt and fully master the work.
According to Minister Nguyen Kim Son, 2024 is the key year of the education sector, the year of the sprint to complete the reform of general education, start building the new preschool education program, complete major tasks and many other tasks. Therefore, the education sector hopes that Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Chi will promote all her capacity and strengths, always act decisively both individually and with the collective, shoulder and fulfill important responsibilities together.

Sharing her new assignment, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi said that accepting the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training is a great honor, but also a heavy responsibility; requiring her to continue to make efforts, learn, cultivate, practice and devote herself to advising the Party Committee, the Minister, Deputy Ministers, and all colleagues to contribute their efforts, intelligence, emotions, enthusiasm and responsibility, step by step successfully implementing the cause of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training.
Ms. Chi also affirmed that she will try her best to complete all assigned tasks with a spirit of solidarity and openness.
Up to this point, the Ministry of Education and Training has four deputy ministers: Nguyen Van Phuc, Pham Ngoc Thuong, Hoang Minh Son, and Nguyen Thi Kim Chi.
Previously, on February 2, the Ministry of Education and Training announced Decision No. 1220/QD-TTg dated October 20, 2023 of the Prime Minister on Ms. Ngo Thi Minh, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, retiring from February 1.
New Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Kim Chi was born in 1971, hometown Thanh Ngoc commune, Thanh Chuong district (Nghe An). She graduated from university, majoring in literature pedagogy.
From 1993 to 2005, she was a teacher at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nghe An province. From June 2005 to June 2009, she was Vice Principal of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.
From June 2009 to June 2014, she was Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province. From June 2014 to March 2019, she held the position of Director of the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province.
From March 2019 to August 2021, she was Secretary of the Cua Lo Town Party Committee, Nghe An Province. From August 2021 to January 2024, she was Secretary of the Party Committee of the Agencies of Nghe An Province.
