According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Korean Government's appointment of a professional, experienced diplomat who is closely associated with the Asian region as Korean Ambassador to Vietnam shows the importance the Korean Government attaches to the Vietnam - Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the two sides maintain regular visits and contacts at high and all levels in many flexible forms, to continuously consolidate and deepen the relationship between the two countries' high-ranking leaders, creating a foundation for promoting cooperation in other fields.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will continue to strongly improve the investment and business environment to create favorable conditions for foreign investors to successfully implement investment projects in Vietnam, including Korean enterprises.
The Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the establishment of the Joint Working Group on Climate Change by both sides; he believed that with the determination and efforts of both sides, the goals set out in the Vietnam-Korea Climate Change Cooperation Agreement would be successfully implemented. The two sides are promoting negotiations to hold the first meeting of the Joint Working Group on Climate Change in Hanoi at the end of this year.

At the reception, Korean Ambassador Choi Youngsam congratulated Vietnam on its recent achievements in socio-economic development and foreign affairs. The Ambassador affirmed that in the coming time, the Korean side will closely coordinate with Vietnam to realize the agreements reached during the official visit to Vietnam by Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol in June 2023.
The Ambassador pledged to do his utmost to promote the Vietnam-Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, especially in the fields of economics, trade and investment, and expand cooperation between the two countries in new areas such as essential minerals, technology and innovation, climate change, and new energy.
