People's Artist Quoc Hung and Tan Minh judge the contest "Hanoi's Best Voice 2024"

(Dan Tri) - Famous artists such as: People's Artist Quoc Hung, People's Artist Ha Thuy, People's Artist Tan Minh... will sit in the "hot seat" of judging the "Hanoi Voice 2024" contest.

On the afternoon of November 11, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports held a press conference to announce the contents of the Hanoi Voice Contest 2024.

This is a cultural and artistic event practically organized to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024) and 1014 years of Thang Long - Hanoi.

At the event, Mr. Do Dinh Hong - Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports - said that this year's contest is not only an artistic playground, but also an opportunity for contestants as well as Hanoi people to review the heroic history and arouse love and pride for the homeland in everyone's heart.

Mr. Hong affirmed that the competition has long become a prestigious cultural and artistic event, leaving a deep impression in the hearts of music lovers in the capital.

Generations of contestants, in addition to showing their talent, also bring with them their love and pride for the culture and people of Hanoi, contributing to the diversity and depth of modern music.

"The Art Council will be impartial and objective to find talents and encourage young voices so that this competition can spread the beauty of Hanoi and inspire love for the capital.

Hopefully, from this competition, the students will shine and flourish on music stages nationwide and internationally, contributing their names to the cultural and artistic scene of our country," said Mr. Do Dinh Hong.

This year's contest attracted the participation of more than 450 contestants aged 16 to 35 living, working and studying in Hanoi and a number of contestants who have won high prizes in vocal competitions in several provinces and centrally run cities.

The organizers will select the 60 best candidates to continue competing in the semi-finals, where the candidates will be supported by a professional orchestra.

The final round will be a night of brilliance for 12 outstanding singers, where they will perform in front of the judges and audience with songs about Hanoi and a song of their own choice.

The final night is scheduled to be held at the Vietnam - Soviet Union Friendship Cultural Palace and will be broadcast live on Hanoi Radio and Television.

This year, the jury gathered veteran names of Vietnamese music such as: People's Artist Duc Trinh, People's Artist Ha Thuy, People's Artist Tan Minh, People's Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan... and also had the participation of young singer Nguyen Tran Trung Quan.

The Hanoi Voice Contest was established in 1997 and is considered a place to nurture and create conditions for the development of the golden generations of Vietnamese music, including leading artists such as: People's Artist Tan Minh, Hong Nhung, My Linh, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, Tung Duong...

Besides, many other names have emerged from this competition, becoming excellent singers of the capital's and the country's music.

For nearly 30 years, through many seasons, the competition has not only been a musical playground but also an opportunity for contestants to affirm their talents, express themselves, and exchange and learn from artists, musicians, and leading experts in the fields of music and art.
