Novak Djokovic ended the 2023 season with a loss to Jannik Sinner in the Davis Cup semi-finals, but he had an impressive year. Nole won 3 Grand Slams including the Australian Open, Roland Garros, US Open, won the ATP Finals and 3 other ATP titles.
With seven titles in 2023, Djokovic has 98 titles in his career. He is only behind Jimmy Connors (109 ATP titles) and Roger Federer (103) in terms of career titles.
The Serbian set a record by becoming the first player to win five or more ATP titles in 12 seasons, surpassing the record of legend Jimmy Connors (11 seasons with more than five championships).
In addition, Djokovic is having a record of surpassing his "rivals" Federer and Nadal. Nole holds the record of 24 Grand Slam titles, 40 ATP Masters 1000 titles, 7 ATP Finals titles, and has been number one in the world for more than 400 weeks according to the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
According to ATP statistics after the 2023 season, 21 players over 30 years old are in the top 100. Stan Wawrinka at 38 years old is the oldest person to appear on this list, followed by Djokovic (36 years old). However, Nole is the leader in the ATP rankings.
The players ranked below Djokovic in the ATP rankings are all under 30 years old, including Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Holger Rune, Daniil Medvedev, Taylor Fritz, Hubert Hurkacz, Andrey Rublev, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alexander Zverev.
Djokovic is looking forward to the 2024 season with great confidence. In January 2024, the 1987-born player will begin his journey to defend his Australian Open title. Nole's biggest goal is to win his first Golden Slam (4 Grand Slam titles and an Olympic Gold Medal in a calendar year).
