The Chairman of the City People's Committee periodically received 1,153 citizens, 1,168 people; authorized the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee to receive 516 citizens, 527 people. The Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and wards periodically received 696 citizens, 702 people; authorized the Vice Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and wards to receive 124 citizens, 128 people.
The content of citizen reception mainly focuses on issues arising in the land sector such as land change adjustment, land division, land use right certificate issuance, land recovery, compensation - site clearance and resettlement, and arrangement of business premises for tourism services...
In addition, the City People's Committee, specialized agencies and People's Committees of communes and wards received 14,473 petitions of all kinds, with 14,463 petitions under their authority; of which 189 were complaints, 4 were denunciations, 14,270 were petitions and reflections, and 100% of them were resolved.
In recent years, the volume of citizen reception and petitions received by the city has been quite large, most of which have been received and processed by city leaders and communes and wards in accordance with the law, ensuring the legitimate rights of citizens and the State.
On this occasion, Hoi An City People's Committee awarded 5 collectives and 8 individuals with achievements in 10 years of implementing the Law on Citizen Reception.
