Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate, called to congratulate Mr. Trump and hoped he would be “President for all Americans.”
By winning over 300 electoral votes, exceeding the 270 votes needed to win the race to the White House this year, Mr. Trump has erased the notion that America is a "special" country, unaffected by global political trends, especially the anti-incumbency wave.

In addition, Mr. Moon also said that China may quickly seek out President Donald Trump's intermediaries, hoping to negotiate secretly to resolve outstanding issues.
However, by the end of Trump’s first term, Beijing had sanctioned more than two dozen senior US officials, a move that could make it harder for China to reach out to these US officials in the future, or even force Beijing to stop or ignore previous sanctions.
