To carry out this campaign, the Youth Union chapters at all levels in Nghe An province have had many activities and many diverse and rich forms of implementation. Among them, the most prominent are the vivid paintings of the map of Vietnam and a set of 15 paintings of important historical milestones, recreating the historical journey of the Vietnamese people. It is known that these paintings were made by a group of three teachers: Ms. Le Tra Giang - Art teacher at Hung Binh Secondary School; Ms. Dinh Thi Nhan - Art teacher at Vinh University High School and Ms. Nguyen Thi Van - Art teacher at Nghi Duc Primary School. |
Ms. Dinh Thi Nhan (one of the three girls who made the 15 paintings) said that from the idea to completion, the three girls had to draw within 1.5 months. Because they were drawing about historical milestones, the three girls had to ask for the support of teacher Nguyen Thi Kim Lien (Ha Huy Tap Secondary School) for advice. "Drawing historical themes is much more difficult than drawing other art paintings. In particular, Ms. Lien supported and advised on historical milestones, then selected the 15 most important milestones. Then from those historical milestones, the girls sketched them into the painting. Drawing was also difficult because the painting had to recreate the heroic historical atmosphere and have soul to be successful", Ms. Nhan said and said that there were paintings that all three girls drew together and had to draw continuously for many days to complete. |
The first picture drawn by the teachers was about "Dragon and Fairy Race". The picture shows the origin of the Vietnamese people. |
The second painting recreates the Trung Sisters' Uprising that opened the fight against the Northern feudal forces. The image of the Trung Sisters riding elephants into battle, driving out the enemy, has become a beautiful symbol of patriotism, the heroic spirit, and loyalty of Vietnamese women. |
The third painting depicts the battle on Bach Dang River in 938 by Ngo Quyen. The victory in this battle ended the more than 1,000-year rule of the Northern feudalism, opening a period of true and lasting independence for our nation, leaving a profound lesson in military art for future generations. |
The fourth painting depicts the event in 1010 when Ly Cong Uan moved the capital to Dai La and changed its name to Thang Long. |
The 5th, 6th, and 7th paintings were drawn by the teachers to recreate: Dien Hong Conference (1284) representing the symbol of national unity and strength; Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da victory in 1789 shattered the Qing army's dream of invasion, liberated the country, and maintained national independence; In 1757, Nguyen Phuc Khoat completed the land reclamation to Ca Mau, and established sovereignty over the islands and archipelagos in the East Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. |
The 8th painting recreates the scene of young man Nguyen Tat Thanh leaving Nha Rong port to find a way to save the country in 1911. |
The painting depicts the Conference to establish the Communist Party of Vietnam (1930). The conference marked the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam - the pioneer revolutionary organization that led the Vietnamese revolution to victory. |
The painting recreates the day Uncle Ho read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1945. |
The 11th painting recreates the Dien Bien Phu victory in 1954. The victory contributed to the decisive end of the long and heroic resistance war against French colonialism by our army and people. It was a miracle of our army, one of the brilliant milestones in the history of the Vietnamese people's struggle to defend their country. |
The painting depicts the historic moment when a tank of the Southern Liberation Army crashed through the gate of the Independence Palace in 1975, marking the victory of the 1975 Spring Campaign. |
Two paintings depict the 6th National Party Congress (1986), marking the beginning of the renovation process, affirming the timely and correct leadership of our Party, meeting the development requirements of the country in the new period, and the painting depicting Vietnam joining and becoming the 7th member of ASEAN in 1995. |
The last picture shows Vietnamese children competing to carry out the five teachings of Uncle Ho, trying to be good and study well, becoming excellent children, contributing to building a prosperous Vietnam to stand shoulder to shoulder with the world powers as Uncle Ho always wished. |
