Bustling Ngo boat racing season in Soc Trang

There are 46 boat teams registered for the competition, including 40 male boats and 6 female boats, of which 38 boats are from the province and 8 boats are from the provinces: Bac Lieu , Ca Mau, Can Tho City. In the photo, the boat team of Sangke Pagoda, Long Phu District, is actively practicing on the Maspaero River, where the traditional Ngo boat race takes place. To prepare for the competition, some pagodas have built new Ngo boats, including Phothisaram Pagoda (Soc Vo, Ward 7, Soc Trang City) by artisan Danh Tung.
