The girl group Fifty Fifty that recently became popular was accused of plagiarism by a Turkish singer on social media. The management company said it was looking into the matter.
Top Star News reported that the hit song Cupid by the girl group Fifty Fifty was accused of plagiarism. Recently, Turkish singer Evrencan Gündüz shared the accusation on his personal page. He opened the video with the song Cupid, which is currently popular on social media, and then compared it to a song he composed in 2017 called Sen Aşkımızdan. "Fifty Fifty released a great song. Let's listen. But something seems familiar...", the singer wrote.
A Korean newspaper contacted a music expert to check the similarities between the two songs. According to experts, the music is somewhat similar, but it is difficult to conclude that Fifty Fifty plagiarized. "If we analyze each part, there are similarities, but it is difficult to confirm that this is plagiarism," the expert commented.

Fifty Fifty's management company ATTRAKT immediately spoke up about the incident: "We are trying to confirm with the song producer." Since the author Cupid lives abroad, the company said it needs time to contact and they will give an official response later.
According to the Korea Times , Fifty Fifty is a rookie girl group that has been receiving attention recently. They are the first and only girl group to date from ATTRAKT - an entertainment company established less than two years ago. The group consists of 4 members Saena, Aran, Keena and Sio, debuting in November 2022 with the mini-album The Fifty and the lead single Higher .
Coming from a not-so-famous company, the girls created a "miracle" when they became the fastest Kpop group to enter the Billboard Hot 100 chart with the song Cupid released in February. This achievement marked the group's debut on the international reputation chart, and helped the ATTRAKT quartet become the 6th Kpop group after Wonder Girls, BTS, BlackPink, TWICE and NewJeans to appear on this chart.
