Ho Chi Minh City dance group wins ticket to attend the final round of the World K-pop Dance Festival

The Unwreckable dance group from Ho Chi Minh City won the first prize in the 2023 K-pop singing and dancing competition at the 2023 K-pop Lovers Festival and got a ticket to attend the World K-pop Dance Festival Finals held in Korea this September.

The final round of the 2023 K-pop singing and dancing contest is an activity within the 2023 K-pop Lovers Festival - a festival for K-pop fans organized by the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam on the evening of May 13, at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, walking street, Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi.

Korean Ambassador to Vietnam awarded First Prize to Nguyen Hong Phuc

The 2023 K-pop singing and dancing competition attracted the participation of 300 young people and music groups from many provinces and cities across the country. After many preliminary rounds, 21 groups including 12 dance groups and 9 excellent singing groups participated in the knockout round held on the evening of May 13 in Hanoi.

At the competition night, the dance group Unwreckable from Ho Chi Minh City won a ticket straight to the K-pop Cover Dance Festival World Final held in Seoul, South Korea in September to compete with excellent dance groups around the world.

The organizers also awarded second and third prizes to two dance groups from Hanoi, the 0107 Crew and The A-code groups.

The first prize in the singing contest was awarded to singer Nguyen Hong Phuc from Hanoi; the second prize went to Huynh Thi My Loan from Ho Chi Minh City; the third prize was awarded to Danny Linh Dan (8 years old) from Hanoi.

After 10 times being held in Vietnam, the K-pop Lovers Festival 2023 is considered to be the largest in scale with many activities such as displaying K-pop albums and images, trying on hanbok, playing traditional Korean games, learning about Korean tourism, impromptu Korean street dancing, practicing K-pop dance with famous Korean choreographer Back Koo Young, K-pop singing and dancing contest...
