"When my uncle was still in school, he studied modern music and vọng cổ on the radio. Seeing that he had a good singing voice, his family sent him to study traditional singing. Meritorious Artist Út Trọng was the one who gave him the stage name Út Hiền because he was very gentle and spoke softly. And thanks to Út Trọng's introduction, my uncle sang for the Thanh Minh troupe because at that time, famous singer Út Trà Ôn had separated to form the Kim Thanh - Út Trà Ôn troupe.

Later, my uncle also introduced me to Doan Thanh Nga, when Thanh Nga passed away, performing her roles in the plays: "The Heart of the Sea", "Chi Hang's Daughter", "The Late Night Stage"...

I am grateful to Uncle Ut Hien all my life. Thanks to Uncle Ut Hien, I was able to get many good roles on stage at that time, even bought a car, built a house, and established a career at a very young age" - artist Kieu Phuong Loan emotionally recalled.

Artist Ut Hien's voice is as smooth as silk, he used to perform at Kim Chung 1 troupe. Although he only played the second role, he was invited by Mr. Ba Ban's Hoanh Son record company to record many vọng cổ songs by composer Thu An, which are now precious ancient songs.
