One morning at the end of 2024, at the Can Tho bus station on Nguyen Van Linh Street (in Hung Loi Ward, Ninh Kieu District), driver Vo Quoc Linh (47 years old) was cleaning the outside of the bus he was driving.

Mr. Linh carefully used a wet towel to wipe the body of the car and all the outside windows. Then, he went inside to carefully clean, mop the floor and check every corner and seat. This is a regular job for this driver before starting a trip.

"Before starting a trip, I always do these things. After the car is clean, 5 minutes before departure, I will turn on the air conditioner. Make sure it is clean, fragrant, and cool to welcome passengers on the car," said driver Linh, adding that these are also the things that other drivers do before starting a trip.

Mr. Linh is currently driving a bus running the Can Tho - Vung Liem (Vinh Long province) route with a distance of nearly 80km, one of the longest inter-provincial routes operating from Can Tho. Having been in the driving profession for more than ten years, driver Linh always keeps in mind that every time he gets on the bus, he must devote all his mind and energy to his work.

At Ba Lang bus station (Cai Rang district, Can Tho city), driver Nguyen Giac Hai, who drives the Ba Lang - O Mon - Lo Te route, is also cleaning the bus. Mr. Hai said that he and other drivers always consider the bus as their second home. According to him, if the house is clean and tidy, people will live happily and healthily, just as if the bus is clean and cool, passengers will be satisfied.

According to the drivers, each bus is now equipped with many amenities to ensure the best for both passengers and drivers. In addition to air conditioning, the bus is equipped with wifi, many cameras and ticket printing equipment right on the bus. Each bus route has distances corresponding to different fares, passengers announce their destination and the driver prints the ticket and collects the money.

After five years of efforts to change the appearance of Can Tho buses, the old buses with open windows to let in fresh air or emitting black smoke all over the road have become a thing of the past. Instead, there are modern, comfortable buses that meet emission standards to serve the people.

- Lo Te - Kinh B intersection - extends to Kien Giang province bus station.

- Lo Te intersection - Co Do town.

- Can Tho - Giai Xuan - Phong Dien.

- Phong Dien - Ba Se - O Mon road.

- Ba Lang (Cai Rang district) - Tra Noc - O Mon industrial park.

In addition, Can Tho currently has 10 bus routes to provinces such as Vinh Long, Hau Giang, Soc Trang, Dong Thap, and An Giang.
