TPO - The introduction of native plants, and a southeast-facing garden above the living area and kitchen, helps regulate the temperature and integrate nature into the daily living experience.

This house was born from the desire to create an open, mobile living space while addressing the constraints of a small urban lot.

The main architecture revolves around a staggered floor plan, where different floor heights create a seamless visual connection between floors. This promotes a sense of openness, optimizing natural light and ventilation.

One of the main challenges in developing the house was its west-facing orientation, which exposed the building to intense afternoon sun, resulting in increased heat gain. To address this, extensive use of greenery was incorporated into the design, including trees and plants strategically placed along the facade and in the garden spaces.

These trees not only provide natural shade, but also help regulate temperature, reducing dependence on air conditioning.

Another challenge was maintaining a balance between modern aesthetics and environmental sustainability in a compact urban space, which was addressed through the use of sustainable materials and maximizing the efficiency of natural ventilation and lighting.

The use of staggered floor design involves careful planning, and structural techniques to achieve a seamless visual connection between floors.

Key materials used include high quality TOSTEM aluminium frames for doors and windows, providing both functionality and aesthetics. Native plants are incorporated into the design and sustainable materials are selected to ensure energy efficiency and durability.

The staggered floor plan creates visual continuity between floors, allowing light and air to move more freely through the house.

This design eliminates the traditional boundaries of separate floors, allowing for easy vertical movement while enhancing the overall experience of spaciousness.
