On December 29, the Phu Yen Provincial Party Executive Committee met and decided to discipline a number of party members who violated the law.
Accordingly, the Phu Yen Provincial Party Committee decided to discipline Mr. Tran Quang Nhat (former Vice Chairman of Phu Yen Provincial People's Committee) and Mr. Nguyen Phat (former Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Phu Yen province) with a warning.
During the 2011-2016 term, Mr. Tran Quang Nhat and Mr. Nguyen Phat were irresponsible, lax in leadership, direction, and inspection, leading to violations of legal regulations on bidding and implementation of a number of projects/bidding packages carried out by the International Progress Joint Stock Company (AIC) and enterprises in the AIC ecosystem.
Phu Yen Provincial Party Committee decided to discipline Mr. Pham Van Bay, Provincial Party Committee member and Secretary of Tuy An District Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, with a reprimand.
Mr. Pham Van Bay bears general responsibility and responsibility as the head for the violations and shortcomings of the Standing Committee of Tuy An District Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term in leading and directing the implementation of instructions from superiors.
The Secretary of Tuy An District Party Committee has not regularly inspected, supervised, and directed the handling of individuals who build works for business services and tourism activities in the district, violating land laws, causing bad public opinion and affecting the reputation of local Party committees, authorities, and individuals.
The Phu Yen Provincial Party Committee voted to discipline Mr. Nguyen Duy Duong, former member of the Provincial Party Committee and former Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, with a reprimand. However, the statute of limitations for disciplinary action has now expired, so no decision was issued to discipline him, and Mr. Nguyen Duy Duong was asked to seriously learn from his experience.
During his tenure as Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Duong advised the Provincial People's Committee to allocate land, lease land, reclaim land, and change land use purposes to implement a project to exploit minerals for common construction materials to serve the Deo Ca Road Tunnel project, which did not follow the prescribed procedures.
