Previously, at the meeting at the beginning of the Year of the Cat 2023, the Ha Tinh Association in Ho Chi Minh City, Tuoi Tre Newspaper, and Momo E-Wallet agreed to coordinate and connect to implement the "Flood-proof School" program in Ha Tinh. In phase 1 of the program, the Organizing Committee awarded nearly 10 billion VND in support to Ha Tinh province.
The Gia Pho Primary School was supported to build a 2-storey, 6-room subject classroom block at Dong Hai school with a total value of 4.5 billion VND (of which Tuoi Tre Newspaper sponsored 2 billion VND; the district budget 2.5 billion VND). Up to now, the project has completed the foundation, is pouring the first floor pillars, and is expected to be completed before May 19, 2024.

At Loc Yen Primary School, the construction of a 3-storey, 9-room building with a total value of 5 billion VND was supported by BIDV Bank. Currently, the units have coordinated to complete the relevant documents and procedures, preparing to open the bid. It is expected that the construction will start in early February 2024; striving to complete before June 30, 2024.
The delegation also visited Tung Chau Kindergarten (Tung Chau commune, Duc Tho district) to consider supporting the construction of the school.
During the inspection and survey trip, Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Trung Dung thanked former President Truong Tan Sang for his attention and the support and companionship of sponsors to Ha Tinh province. The Provincial Party Secretary informed about some of the local social security results in the past time and hoped that sponsors would continue to pay attention, accompany and support Ha Tinh in building flood-proof schools as well as social security work.
Former President Truong Tan Sang asked Ha Tinh province and sponsors to coordinate in reviewing projects in the area and calling for socialized resources to continue implementing phase 2 of the program.
Through inspection and survey, former President Truong Tan Sang - advisor of the Flood-Resilient School Program requested Ha Tinh province and related units and localities to focus on directing and urging to speed up the progress, ensuring the quality of invested and supported projects; continue to call for socialized resources to purchase equipment, complete projects to ensure the teaching needs of schools and flood avoidance of local people.
Ha Tinh province and sponsors coordinated to review projects in the area, call for and mobilize social resources to continue implementing phase 2 of the program to ensure effectiveness.
