After more than 2 years of living in the Loc An - Binh Son resettlement area, although life is difficult, people are gradually getting used to the new rhythm of life in spacious and comfortable houses. In the past year, this resettlement area has had hundreds of households come to build houses and stabilize their lives.

Most people build new houses that are more spacious and comfortable than their old houses. Infrastructure, roads, schools, etc. are newly built, modern and spacious. However, the unfamiliarity with "urban" life makes the lives and activities of people in resettlement areas difficult.

In the days leading up to the Lunar New Year, the colors of spring are everywhere on the roads of the Loc An - Binh Son resettlement area. People who gave up land to build Long Thanh airport are gradually settling down and getting used to life in their new home.

Mr. Thai (formerly Suoi Trau commune, Long Thanh district), after moving to his new residence in the Loc An - Binh Son resettlement area, invested in building a coffee and beverage shop. On the eve of Tet, Mr. Thai decorated the Vietnamese Tet space to serve customers taking souvenir photos.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai (32 years old), took advantage of the days before Tet to transport flowers for hire in the resettlement area to earn extra income. "This year, more people came to the resettlement area to build houses than before, but due to the economic impact, the number of flower purchases this year is quite slow," said Mr. Hai.

The flower gardens of the people in the new settlement have begun to bloom to welcome spring. Near Tet, wherever you go in the resettlement area, you can feel the bustling atmosphere of Tet coming and spring everywhere.

At Buu Lam Pagoda, the only pagoda in the resettlement area, the flower gardens in the pagoda grounds are being cleaned and taken care of to welcome people to visit, worship Buddha, visit the pagoda, and pray for the upcoming Giap Thin New Year.

This Tet, Mr. Tran Quy Vuong (Binh Son commune, Long Thanh district) and his family will celebrate the first Lunar New Year in their newly built house in the resettlement area. When moving to the new area, Mr. Vuong still brought the yellow apricot flower pot from the old garden to celebrate Tet.

In the days before Tet, hair salons and spas in the resettlement area are always crowded. Many young people have boldly opened shops and started modern businesses, closely linked to urban life to adapt to the new life in the resettlement area of ​​Loc An - Binh Son.

After learning the nail profession in Bien Hoa City, Lam Oanh (22 years old, old Suoi Trau commune, Long Thanh district) and her friend opened a hair salon that attracted a lot of customers right in the Loc An - Binh Son resettlement area. The young girl followed her parents to live in the resettlement area for over a year now.

People in the resettlement area are eager to buy flower pots to decorate their new houses to welcome the Year of the Dragon. Many families in the resettlement area have displayed chrysanthemums and apricot blossoms in front of their houses very early.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam (73 years old, old Suoi Trau commune), chatted with neighbors in front of the house that was just built 2 months ago. "My family was only selected for a secondary resettlement lot, so the infrastructure of the new residence is still lacking. Currently, the new residence does not have roads, sidewalks, clean water, sewage system... so life is still difficult. I hope the government will soon complete it in the new year so that people's lives will be better," Ms. Tam shared.

According to the Long Thanh District People's Committee, kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools in the resettlement area have been completed. Students of all levels in the resettlement area study in new, clean, spacious classrooms that meet national standards.

In addition to the main lots with fully modern infrastructure, roads, electricity and water, there are currently more than 300 households living in some areas in the Loc An - Binh Son resettlement area without roads, sidewalks, clean water systems, private electricity... which is very inconvenient and difficult.

Loc An - Binh Son resettlement area has an area of ​​over 280 hectares, expected to accommodate about 7,000 households. Up to now, Long Thanh District People's Committee has allocated land to over 4,100 households, but only over 1,500 households have come to build houses and move to the resettlement area.
