Preventing hepatitis B in children and adults

Vietnam is among the countries with the highest prevalence of hepatitis B in the world. The rate of hepatitis B vaccination for children and adults is still low, not reaching community immunity.

Newborns vaccinated against hepatitis B within the first 24 hours after birth can prevent infection from the mother by 80-95%. There are currently many single and combination vaccines to prevent hepatitis B for children and adults.
