The 1st Quintessence of Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival - Hue 2025 takes place from March 21 to March 22 in Hue City on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Hue Liberation Day (March 26, 1975 - March 26, 2025), and is also an event within the framework of National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 and Hue Festival 2025.
The event is a series of cultural, sports and tourism activities to honor and promote the martial arts values and martial arts traditions of the Vietnamese people in the history of building and defending the country. At the same time, it spreads the good meanings and profound humanity of Vietnamese martial arts to many international friends.
This is also an opportunity for martial arts groups and schools to meet, exchange and discuss the work of preserving and promoting the value of traditional Vietnamese martial arts domestically and internationally.
The 1st Tinh Hoa Viet Festival - Hue 2025, includes 2 main parts: the ceremony and the festival. The ceremony takes place on the morning of March 21 with activities such as: Announcement and incense offering ceremony at The Mieu, dragon procession on Huong River, worship ceremony at Vo Mieu...
The festival includes activities such as: Vietnamese martial arts exchange program, Vietnamese martial arts seminar, Hue Imperial City tour, martial arts formation and performance... with the participation of many famous martial arts groups representing Vietnamese martial arts schools such as: Vo Kinh Van An, Vovinam, Vo Binh Dinh...
In particular, the opening ceremony held at Ngo Mon Gate at 8:10 p.m. on March 21 was staged in an epic style with a majestic drum performance and many famous artists and singers. Vietnam's elite martial arts were elaborately staged and combined with eye-catching fire command shooting and pyrotechnics.
According to the Organizing Committee, the “First Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival - Hue 2025” is not only a place for martial arts schools and groups to return to a sacred space to worship their ancestors and commemorate the heroes and generals of the nation, but also a place to promote their strengths through competitions, performances, and exhibitions...
The event also promises to take the public through many emotions and immerse them in a legendary art space imbued with the martial arts and culture of the ancient capital of Hue.
Through this Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival, the Organizing Committee hopes to contribute to "reviving" martial arts relics in Hue such as Vo Mieu, Xien Vo Tu... and linking them with daily martial arts activities, making Hue a destination for the martial arts community in particular and for all people in general.
At the same time, we aim to build the Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival into a well-organized annual event, gathering many martial arts groups and schools around the world. In the future, events related to traditional Vietnamese martial arts will also be held at this location, to build a unique cultural institution associated with martial arts.
