Specifically, the two sides will coordinate to invite and welcome Famtrip/Presstrip delegations to survey services and write articles promoting local destinations and products and services from markets such as Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Cambodia, European Union (EU), Australia, USA, Taiwan (China), India, etc.; cooperate in exchanging, providing information, databases, preferential policies, and work program plans for 2024 to promptly implement the promotion and advertising of the city's air tourism .
In addition, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City and Vietnam Airlines will coordinate to research and develop the expansion of the international and domestic flight network to/from Da Nang: promote the restoration of flights to Japan (Osaka, Nagoya), India...; coordinate to implement communication work, promote investment, tourism, aviation on online and visual media such as: promote video clips, TVCs about Da Nang destinations on the in-flight entertainment program (destination directory), on the websites Danang Fantasticity and Vietnamairlines, and display publications, show videos promoting Vietnam Airlines at tourist information counters...
Da Nang Department of Tourism coordinated with Da Nang International Airport, Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company and Vietnam Airlines to welcome the first domestic and international tourists to Da Nang on the occasion of New Year 2024.
According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, in the first 3 months of 2024, the total number of domestic and international flights to Da Nang is estimated at 9,578, with about 1.6 million passengers, up 3.5% and 10.5% respectively over the same period last year.
Of the total 9,578 flights to the city in the first quarter of 2024, there will be 4,724 international flights with more than 802,000 passengers and 4,854 domestic flights with more than 806,000 passengers.
As of April 2024, Da Nang has 21 regular direct flights, including 4 domestic routes (Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hai Phong and Can Tho) and 17 international routes (Bangkok and Chiang Mai - Thailand), Singapore, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Taipei - Taichung - Kaohsiung (Taiwan - China), Macau (China), Hong Kong (China), Siem Reap (Cambodia), Incheon - Busan - Daegu - Cheongju (Korea), Narita (Japan), Manila (Philippines), Vientiane (Laos).
The summer flight schedule of international airlines to Da Nang increases the number of flights by 20%, expected to reach about 50 flights/day (frequency in the first quarter of 2024 reached 40 flights/day).
Some international routes to recover and operate new routes to Da Nang are expected to start from the second quarter of 2024, including: routes from Malaysia, Hong Kong (China), Japan (Osaka, Narita - June).

The leaders of the Da Nang Department of Tourism said that the above positive signals show an optimistic scenario for achieving the goal of welcoming 8.42 million visitors in 2024.
It is known that in 2023, Da Nang welcomed more than 40,300 domestic and international flights with more than 6.3 million passengers; of which Vietnam Airlines operated 12,500/40,300 flights, with more than 2.1 million passengers (international flights reached 700 flights with more than 93,000 passengers, domestic flights reached 11,800 flights with more than 1.9 million passengers).
Regarding the restoration of international flights, in 2023, Vietnam Airlines restored two international routes including Narita (Japan) - Da Nang (March 2023); Don Muong (Thailand) - Da Nang (November 2023), creating favorable opportunities for tourism, trade and investment exchanges between Da Nang and major cities of Japan and Thailand.
