(Fatherland) - On the occasion of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2024, the National Political Publishing House Truth has just introduced to readers a special book "A Thousand Years of Vietnamese National Culture" presented in bilingual Vietnamese - English.
The book "Thousand years of Vietnamese national culture" was compiled by the Truth National Political Publishing House in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This work was carried out with the desire to bring readers the opportunity to "enjoy" treasures across our country, thereby gaining a systematic, thorough and profound understanding of the country's 265 treasures; and contributing to honoring and spreading the extremely precious values of a thousand years of culture.
The special book "A Thousand Years of Vietnamese National Culture" is presented in both Vietnamese and English.
In this book, readers will thoroughly understand 265 national treasures - artifacts that have been handed down, have special and rare values, and are typical of the country in terms of history, culture, and science . They are currently kept in provinces and cities across the country and are preserved and protected under a special regime, with specific methods depending on the material characteristics and age of each treasure.
The highlight of the book is a brief and concise presentation of the origin, era, characteristics and unique and typical values of the treasures in the chronological journey of national treasures, starting from the period before the Common Era to the revolutionary war period, marked by the great turning point of the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of 1975, completely liberating the South and unifying the country.
In particular, the book "Thousand Years of Viet Nam National Civilization" is elaborately presented, with beautiful paper, impressive colors and published in two languages, Vietnamese and English, with the desire to spread and help readers at home and abroad better understand the historical and cultural values of Vietnam that have been built up over thousands of years of building and defending the country.
On this occasion, the Truth National Political Publishing House also launched the book "Hung King Worship in Vietnam" co-edited by Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan and Associate Prof. Dr. Vu Trong Lam. The book is a research document that helps readers gain a deeper understanding of the historical origin, significance, and cultural values of the Hung King Worship from many perspectives, as well as the exploitation and promotion of the values of this type of belief at home and abroad today.
