Coffee prices today, July 15, in Dak Lak province; in Cu M'gar district, coffee is purchased at about 128,500 VND/kg, and in Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 128,400 VND/kg.

Coffee prices will continue to rise until mid-2025 due to supply shortages, according to Bloomberg. European consumers will have to pay more for a cup of coffee because of increasingly strict regulations related to coffee imports.

Coffee prices are expected to rise further on concerns that excessive drought in Vietnam will damage coffee crops and limit global Robusta production.

According to the General Department of Customs, the amount of coffee exported in June decreased by more than 50% compared to the same period in 2023, down to 70,202 tons. This is also recorded as the third consecutive month of decline. In the first half of 2024, our country only exported 893,820 tons of coffee, down 11.4% compared to the same period last year.

The Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA) currently forecasts that Vietnam's coffee exports in the coming months of July, August, and September will gradually decrease, as supplies gradually run out. We will have to wait until October and November, when the new coffee harvest season begins, for Vietnam's coffee supply to increase again.

Meanwhile, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Indonesia, Uganda and smaller producers in East and Central Africa are currently harvesting to supply the 2024/25 coffee crop. The main harvests from Colombia, Central America, Mexico, Vietnam, India and China are all set to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.
