(CLO) On the afternoon of December 25, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Information and Communications, a signing ceremony of the Cooperation Program between the Department of Grassroots Information (Ministry of Information and Communications) and the Government Electronic Information Portal took place.
According to the cooperation agreement, multimedia products of the Government Electronic Information Portal, the Government Electronic Newspaper and the communication platforms of the Government Electronic Information Portal will be integrated into the Central Grassroots Information Source Information System managed by the Grassroots Information Department.
The Government's electronic information portal will promptly provide official information on the direction and administration of the Government and the Prime Minister, information on the official gazette, and the system of legal documents to the Central Information Source Information System for dissemination to each citizen.

The Government Electronic Information Portal will also coordinate with the Department of Grassroots Information to develop and test a technical solution to automatically retrieve media products from the Portal to put into the Central Grassroots Information Source Information System. After signing the cooperation agreement, the two sides will jointly develop a detailed implementation plan within the next 6 months.
The goal of the agreement is to enhance the effectiveness of policy communication, diversify forms and methods of disseminating positive information, official information on the direction and administration of the Government and the Prime Minister on modern media platforms and grassroots information systems. The coordination between the two sides aims to meet people's need for information access, create social consensus, and serve the country's economic development.
It is known that the Ministry of Information and Communications is currently implementing the establishment of the Grassroots Information Source Information System. This is an information system to manage, monitor activities and provide source information for commune-level radio stations using information technology - telecommunications, and public electronic bulletin boards nationwide. Through this system, at the same time, information can reach 50 - 60 million listeners.
According to Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Tram, Deputy General Director of the Government Electronic Information Portal, in the trend of rapid development, IT has become the foundation and new development method of all fields.
“The country is accelerating digital transformation, starting a new era of development - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise, requiring us to better and more effectively meet the information needs of the people and the business community. The grassroots information system is an important method to carry out this task,” the Deputy General Director of the Government Electronic Information Portal shared.
