On March 22, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union held an online conference to disseminate and implement important resolutions and contents related to the union's work and the farmers' movement.
The conference was held online at 4,906 provincial, district and grassroots points, with 112,716 delegates, officials and farmer members attending.
Attending the conference at the Central bridge point was comrade Luong Quoc Dan - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union.
Comrade Nguyen Quang Tung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association chaired at Nghe An bridge. The conference was connected to 21 district, city and town bridges, 376 grassroots bridges, with nearly 7,400 cadres and farmer members in the province attending.
At the conference, comrade Luong Quoc Dan - President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union thoroughly grasped Resolution No. 46-NQ/TW of the Politburo on innovation and improving the quality of activities of the Vietnam Farmers' Union to meet the requirements of revolutionary tasks in the new period.
Accordingly, the Resolution sets out the general objectives: To innovate and improve the quality of the farmers' movement, build a strong Vietnam Farmers' Union; to play a good role in representing, motivating and encouraging farmers to raise their awareness, responsibility and qualifications; to actively participate in the development of ecological agriculture, modern countryside and civilized farmers; to improve material and spiritual life, contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, and to develop the country to become more and more prosperous and happy.
Objectives of Resolution No. 46-NQ/TW of the Politburo:
Every year, strive to achieve the following specific goals:
- Recruit 200,000 or more new farmer members.
- 100% of full-time farmers' association officials at all levels and farmers' association branch heads are trained in knowledge and professional skills.
- Provide vocational training for 250,000 or more farmer and rural labor members; provide training to improve the qualifications and skills of 50,000 excellent farmers, good farmers and businessmen at district level or higher.
- Establish 5,000 new professional farmer groups and associations, and 500 professional farmer branches.
- Mobilize 450,000 or more farmer members to join cooperatives and cooperative groups; establish 1,000 new cooperative groups in the agricultural sector and 200 agricultural cooperatives.
- 60% or more of farming households register to strive, of which 50% or more of registered households achieve the title of excellent production and business at all levels.
- 100% of farmer members participate in health insurance; 50,000 or more farmer members participate in voluntary social insurance.
The conference listened to Comrade Bui Thi Thom - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, disseminate the Resolution of the 8th National Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Farmers' Union (term 2023 - 2028).

The conference helps farmers' union officials at all levels grasp the spirit and content of the resolutions; raise awareness, responsibility, proactiveness, positivity, and creativity of farmers' union officials and members to bring the resolutions to each member.
After the conference, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union requested that all levels of the union organize learning, dissemination and direction for grassroots organizations to study the Resolution in their localities on schedule according to the set plan.
All levels of the association need to closely follow the goals, tasks and solutions of Resolution No. 46-NQ/TW; Resolution of the 8th National Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Farmers' Union (term 2023 - 2028) to seriously, synchronously and effectively implement them, in accordance with local conditions and actual situations; promptly bring the Resolution into life through specific movements and actions, building civilized and comprehensively developed Vietnamese farmers.
Thereby, creating motivation to promote patriotic emulation movements of all levels of associations and farmer members, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks of the proposed Resolutions, contributing to local development.
