In 2023, the whole province is estimated to have 1,390 newly established enterprises, with a total registered charter capital of over 10,560 billion VND (down 35.45% compared to 2022).

In addition, an estimated 386 enterprises that temporarily suspended business have resumed operations (down 14.6%).

Accumulated to December 31, 2023, in the province, there are an estimated 12,677 enterprises still registered, operating, and existing, including 11,699 enterprises and 978 branches of enterprises outside the province.

Although the Government and localities have implemented many solutions to improve the business investment environment and support enterprises to restore production and business, the number of dissolved and temporarily suspended enterprises in the year continued to increase, with an estimated 959 dissolved and temporarily suspended enterprises (including 193 dissolved enterprises and 766 temporarily suspended enterprises, an increase of 10.1% compared to 2022).

According to the assessment of the authorities, the objective cause is due to the complicated developments in the world situation causing many difficulties for enterprises, high prices of goods and input materials for production, financial difficulties, narrowing of the international market... The subjective cause is due to the internal limitations of enterprises such as small scale, limited potential, unsatisfactory quality of human resources, weak competitiveness...
