"Before coming to the Olympia competition, there were nights when I stayed up until midnight," Nhat Minh said. Because he was always self-disciplined and made a schedule between studying and playing, Minh always had a comfortable spirit. He was an excellent student for many years.

During his secondary school years, Nhat Minh was always on the team for excellent students in English at the city and provincial levels. In high school, Nhat Minh was admitted to the English specialized class at Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted.

To gain more knowledge, Nhat Minh often watches music programs, talks on TV, and the internet. He also participates in many English competitions to increase his vocabulary and improve his skills in this subject.

In his free time, Minh plays soccer, badminton with his friends, watches news programs and reads books and newspapers. From this source, he accumulates a lot of knowledge and understanding of issues of interest outside of society that are not fully updated in books.

"To prepare for the final round, I had to equip myself with a lot of knowledge, but with the constant support of my friends and teachers, I am very confident," Nhat Minh said. The male student's further wish is to pass the entrance exam to Foreign Trade University in the future.

Ms. Mai Thi Vui, Vice Principal of Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, assessed Nhat Minh as an excellent student in all subjects. The school encouraged, motivated, and provided knowledge support for him to complete the competition well.

"In class, Nhat Minh is a quiet student, but always gets along with his friends," said Ms. Vui.

The final match of the 24th Road to Olympia is scheduled to take place in mid-October. One of Minh’s teammates in the final match is Tran Trung Kien, a student from Tay Hoa district, Phu Yen province. The remaining two contestants will be determined after the third and fourth quarter competitions.
